Why join the Harvard Technology Review?
The Harvard Technology Review is the premier undergraduate publication at Harvard writing on the intersection of tech & society. Our mission is to create and share accessible, informative, and interesting content about the most important developments in technology. We are looking for Harvard students who are enthusiastic about tech & society to join our amazing team of writers, editors, publishers, event organizers, and business associates this fall!
You’ll gain real-life, transferable skills from comping HTR, whether that’s experience in writing, editing, graphic design, managing finances, or events planning. You’ll also become part of the HTR community, a friendly group of students from a variety of backgrounds who are all interested in the effects of technology on society and vice versa.
All Harvard undergrads are welcome to apply (both newcomers and latecomers!), and we especially welcome applications from those with historically marginalized identities in the tech space. You can only write for HTR if you submit an application and attend on-boarding. There is one application for all positions, which you can find here, due Friday, September 10th, 2021 at midnight.
Please contact HTR President Paige at with any questions or concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org
What is the comp process like?
✔️ The application is the main part of the comp process.
✔️ Accepted applicants will begin an on-boarding process to meet their team and learn the skills necessary for their roles.
✔️ The details of the on-boarding process is specific to each team (writing, editorial, publication, business, and events) but each team will hold introductory workshops in the first month of the semester.
✔️ Once compers are on-boarded to HTR, they generally begin working directly on the publication.
